2012 Buick Regal GS

Posted on: July 6, 2011 | In Buick

For 2012, Buick is offering the Buick Regal GS that is meant to be much more sportier than recent versions of the car and attract a whole new crowd. In fact, those that have had the chance to see the GS is action have said that this car is going to compete with many of the luxury cars on the market since Buick has really put their heart and soul into redesigning the car. As far as looks go, on the exterior, people probably are not going to notice much of a difference from 2011 to 2012. However, one thing that they may notice is the 2012 is sporting 20 inch wheels to help with the definition of luxury and performance. And as many people are pointing out this is the first performance car that GM has released in a long time for the Buick line, which has many people wondering why the change? Now, that GM does not have Pontiac to use as their sporty line, some brand has to fill the spot, and they are hoping that they can revitalize Buick to do this, thus far with the GS they seem to be on the right track.

For those that are wondering about performance, they are not going to be disappointed with the Buick Regal GS. The car is set to have a 2.0 liter four cylinder engine that is going to deliver an estimated 255 horsepower thanks to the engineers cranking up the power and reducing the amount of back pressure with new and bigger exhaust systems. When the GS is first available it is going to be offered strictly with a six speed manual transmission, in an effort to really make sure that this car is considered a sport vehicle. However, they do plan to later offer an automatic version of the GS. GM has said that the car can hit the mile a minute mark in less than seven seconds, which is very impressive, to say the least.

In terms of the interior, there are several things that are going to be changed in order to show that the GS is a sportier car. For example, the pedals are going to be metal, the steering wheel has been dropped slightly and has a flat bottom to really give the racing feel to it, and the seats are going to be made of heavier materials, much like a race car. For those that are looking to buy the standard GS they are going to find that they are going to be getting keyless entry, a 320 watt sound system, keyless start, Bluetooth capabilities, sensors to help with backing up, and headlights that are xenon brand.

So is the GS something that people should be excited about for 2012? Most definitely because this is going to be the first real adventure for Buick into the sportier versions of their cars and is sure to be impressing quite a few people. Starting price is estimated to be around $30,000 if not a little more. But, for everything that the person is getting, this is a fair price.

2012 Buick Lacrosse

Posted on: May 9, 2011 | In Buick

The 2012 Buick Lacrosse eAssist is going to be one of the cars that is going to suppose the most people when it is released to the market. It is this eAssist technology that is making this car so attractive to those that are looking for a new family sedan. However, the sedan in terms of its looks are not something that you are going to write off as the next granny mobile. Thanks to the redesigns that Buick put the car through in 2009, the car has proven to be one that the majority of people are happy with. However, they have constantly made improvements along the way with numerous aspects that has made this car one for those that are looking for something special. However, it is this new technology that has everyone talking and waiting for the car to be released.

The 2012 Buick Lacrosse eAssist is a technology that is helping the car to be more green. However, that does not mean that the Lacrosse is going to be offered with a green badge or be called a hybrid. General Motors does not consider their car to be one of these cars. However, for those that are interested they are going to see an improvement of about 25% from the last years model, which means people are going to see around 37 miles per gallon on the highway and 25 miles per gallon in the city. Not bad for a full size sedan that was once referred to as a boat of a car.

This is not by any means new territory for General Motors, however, when they last tried this technology with the cars that they offered, they found that consumers were not interested. They claimed that this was hybrid technology during the time and people were not interested when there was bigger and better ways to make the hybrid technology work for them. However, with the Lacrosse, they have gotten quite a few things right. They have changed the batteries that help run the system, with lithium ion batteries that are known to be much better than other batteries that are out on the market. And they also allowed for the engine to control the fuel injection that it has much better than it has been able to in the past. Making the Lacrosse one of those cars that people are going to want to own.

The ride quality of the 2012 Buick Lacrosse has not changed much in fact people are going to see that they are still riding in what many deem to be one of the most comfortable cars that are out there. However, the person is going to notice that they have much better gas mileage, which is a must with the high price of gasoline. For those that are wanting a car that is getting good gas mileage, and still has room for all the kids and family that you may carry with you, then the 2012 Buick Lacrosse is going to be the winning car for someone to choose thanks to the many features that are making it sport such amazing gas mileage.

Buick Rainier

Posted on: October 28, 2010 | In Buick

The Buick Rainier was first introduced in 2003 as a replacement to the Oldsmobile Bravada. The Rainier is part of the brands in the entry-level luxury category; it is a midsized SUV that is manufactured by Buick General Motors also referred to as GM. The production of this vehicle did not last long and it ended in 2007.

During the production of the Buick Rainier between the years of 2003 to 2007 owners of this vehicle may have encountered a variety of different problems. One of the most common problems that were seen in this vehicle was with its electrical system. Some of the vehicles turn signals remained on and could not be turned off which meant that the flashers needed to be replaced. Another electrical problem that was seen in these Buick Rainiers was with the On Star system. Problems arose in this system’s communication, security, navigation aspects, and with the diagnostic services that were installed exclusively in the GM vehicles. Some of the reasons why the GPS systems lost their precision were due to the Buick Rainier having tinted windows or if objects were put in an area near to where the antenna was located. Other individuals experienced the system quitting prematurely or not turning on at all.

buick rainer

The 2004 Buick Rainier models had problems with their gas tank. Some of the vehicle owners found it difficult to fill up because the nozzle clicked off or the gas would spit out. When this occurred it meant that the Rainier’s filler pipe needed to be changed out for a new one. Other fuel system problems included trouble with the gas gauges. The problem with the gauge would either result in the engine stalling or failing to even start because it is out of gas even though the gauge says that there is fuel in the vehicle. Some of the vehicle owners would say that even after they filled the car up with gas the gauge would not show it. Instead of automatically going to get the fuel sender replaced the vehicle owners would first see if using a fuel system cleaner would fix the problem.

Other problems that were seen in the Buick Rainer from 2003 to 2007 where within the lights, wipers, issues with water leaking, with the starter, and also problems with the vehicle’s engine. The 2004 Rainiers saw problems with the tail and brake lights not working at all. The 2004 and 2005 Buick Rainiers had 4.2 liter 6-cylinder engines. Some of the engines would begin to leak water right into the car’s transmission which caused the owners to have to replace the dipstick tube. The ignition switches would fail in some of the 2006 Buick Rainiers which would cause the vehicle to not start.

Recently GM has provided consumers with the 2011 Buick Rainier. The standard features of this vehicle include a towing capacity that has six cylinders which allows it to tow items weighing 6,000 pounds or more and four-wheel anti-lock brakes. Buyers of this vehicle are able to include a 4/10 axle with their vehicle which makes it easier for them to tow a trailer if they would like. The acceleration and power is extremely smooth due to the vehicle having a standard horsepower of 275 and an engine with six cylinders.

2011 Buick Regal

Posted on: October 15, 2010 | In Buick

All raves, no hype – 2011 Buick Regal is a car that’s as comfortable catching sun on the beach as it is cruising uptown on Saturday night.  For swift, on-demand acceleration, the 3800 Series II Supercharged V6 has 240 horsepower and 280 lb-ft torque. Standard on The 2011 Buick Regal for sale, the Series II offers an EPA estimated fuel economy of 18-mpg city, 28-mpg highway. And as you would expect from a Buick, even the Regal LS offers exhilarating performance from a 200 horsepower 3.8-liter 3800 SFI Series II V6 engine that comes standard on the Regal LS, and delivers an EPA estimated fuel economy of 19-mpg city, 29-mpg highway.

With statistics like these, The 2011 Buick Regal speak volumes about the car’s performance, and for themselves. When it comes to comfort and casual style, The 2011 Buick Regal stacks up well against the competition. It’s luxury without the stuffiness.

Beautifully crafted, yet perfectly casual. A car that’s as comfortable catching sun on the beach as it is cruising uptown on Saturday night. It’s style that fits the way you really live. Regal: The casual side of luxury. When it comes to comfort and casual style, 2011 Buick Regal stacks up well against the competition. It’s luxury without the stuffiness. Beautifully crafted, yet perfectly casual. A car that’s as comfortable catching sun on the beach as it is cruising uptown on Saturday night. It’s style that fits the way you really live. New Exterior Colors: Graphite Metallic, White New Interior Color: Graphite (available in cloth and leather) OnStar: New OnStar three-button rearview mirror will be standard on GS and optional on LS Trunk entrapment handle New rear wheelhouse liners contribute to a quieter driving environment. Major instruments are readily visible through a large, leather-wrapped steering wheel.

Optional auxiliary audio controls are built into the upper wheel spokes, and you can honk the horn by pressing on the center of the hub, which houses the driver’s air bag. The 2011 Buick Regal is motivated by the same basic engine, but fitted with a supercharger. That’s another exotic-sounding term, one that means, essentially, air pump. The supercharger pumps in more air than the engine would naturally draw, boosting horsepower to 240 and torque to 280 pounds-feet. Both engines drive the front wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission, although the GS has a heavy-duty unit to handle the extra torque.

It looks clean, nicely proportioned and free of excessive bright trim. Its S-curved belt line and full-width tail lights confirm its Buick identity, even though its horizontal-line grille departs from Buick tradition. Conforming to the current less-is-more fashion, that grille is body-color on the premium 2011 Buick Regal. The 2011 2011 Buick Regal is the sportiest Buick product, a trait that’s reflected inside.

Although the controls and instrument panel design look tame compared to a Pontiac Grand Prix, it’s pretty daring by Buick standards. An attractive cowling curves over the instrument panel and the dashboard, in turn, sweeps nicely into the door panels.

2011 Buick Rendzvous

Posted on: | In Buick

2011 Buick Rendzvous is a versatile crossover utility vehicle with seating of five to seven passengers. The styling is nice. Rendezvous combines aspects of SUVs, minivans, and wagons. It has fine manners on the highway, a benefit of unibody construction normally associated with sedans. Four-wheel-drive is available to cope with gnarly weather and marginal off-highway tracks with dignity. No matter what you decide to call it, The 2011 Buick Rendzvous is priced well and easy to like. There is much to like here in terms of engineering, flexibility, and appearance. The three-row interior compares favorably with the passenger capacity of costlier vehicles.

Satellite radio and a rear-seat DVD system are now available as options. 2011 Buick Rendzvous comes with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. All models come with a 185-horsepower 3.4-liter V6 engine and an electronically controlled four-speed automatic transmission.

2011 Buick Rendzvous rides on a four-wheel independent suspension and comes standard with four-wheel disc brakes. A lot of these features are also available as stand-alone options, so you can pretty much build a Rendezvous to your personal tastes. The DVD system includes a fold-down seven-inch monitor integrated into the ceiling. It is difficult to judge the size of the Rendezvous without the context of another vehicle near it. That’s usually a sign that the design team (headed, by the way, by a woman, Liz Wetzel) got the scale right. The spec sheet says that Rendezvous is as tall as an SUV, at 68.9 inches without the roof rack. The 2011 2011 Buick Rendzvous can seat up to seven passengers or two people with scads of stuff. The seating setup depends on how you order it and then on how you choose to fold and configure. Captain’s chairs can be ordered instead of the 50-50 split bench seat in the second row.

The optional third row seat folds flat into the floor. The flexibility of the seating configurations is an exercise in automotive origami. The seats of 2011 Buick Rendzvous fold and tuck and fit into an amazing number of arrangements. Even the second-row seat flips and folds, allowing you to have two people up front and a flat floor behind without leaving anything home in the garage. That’s truly neat. For maximum capacity, however, the center row can be removed. (The third-row seat tucks flat into the floor, so it doesn’t have to come out.) Hiding places and lockable bins are strategically placed here and there. Even with seven inches of ground clearance and all-wheel drive, getting in and out of The 2011 Buick Rendzvous is more like getting in and out of a sedan than an SUV; small children, arthritic knees and tight-skirts can be grateful for that. All seats are easy to access and quite comfortable.

2011 Buick Rainier

Posted on: | In Buick

The blend of luxury and performance capability of 2011 Buick Rainier lets you bring elegance into the elements. The standard features include four-wheel anti-lock brakes and a 6 cylinder towing capacity of over 6,000 lbs. with an available 4/10 axle making it easier to tow a trailer with the 275 hp 4.2 liter inline 6-cylinder engine. The new Buick Rainier is paired with a strong body construction and a sophisticated HydraMatic transmission. Rainier’s standard 275 horsepower inline 6-cylinder engine offers smooth acceleration and power with the ability to tow up to 6,200 pounds with the available 290-hp 5.3 liter V8 engine.

Leather-appointed seats, dual zone climate control, and available features like heated front seats and a DVD entertainment system put a whole new spin on the idea of “roughing it.”

2011 Buick Rainier standard features also include; leather-appointed front bucket seats with 8-way power adjustment and a 2-way power lumbar adjustment, soft armrests, adjustable head restraints and available multisetting memory function. Remember the old advertising jingle: Wouldn’t you really rather drive a Buick? Many people would. But until the introduction of The 2011 Rainier, GM’s near-luxury brand had nothing to offer buyers who seek a mid-size sport-utility vehicle. The Buick Rainier seats five and boasts an engine powerful enough to pull a boat or horse trailer. The exterior and interior design cues are distinctly Buick. Its vertical bar pattern grille has a chrome crown, chrome surround and tri-shield center insignia.

2011 Buick Rainier features exclusive eight-spoke 17-inch wheels, the understated elegance of a monochromatic interior with chrome accents and rich, dark walnut woodgrain in the instrument panel, door trim and center console. The exterior of 2011 Buick Rainier is stylish and contemporary with bold, expressive lines set off by the precisely executed, clear, jewel-like headlamps with offset high/low beam fixtures; standard fog lamps; sculpted wheel flares and shoulders; crisply defined ruby red taillights that also have a jewel-like appearance; and two-tone front and rear fascias. The front and rear fascias are body color over gray, with the gray carried through the rocker panel appliqués. The interior is spacious, comfortable and among the roomiest in the segment in terms of head, shoulder and hip room and can seat five adults easily. With the split 60/40 rear seats in the down position, the rear compartment has more than 80 cubic feet of storage space. The focus of the interior design is on 2011 Buick Rainier’s signature upscale luxury, refinement and sophistication. The interior features a cockpit-oriented driver’s command center with readily accessible controls, handsome instrument cluster with highly readable gauges reminiscent of Rendezvous, and a user-friendly Driver Information Center.

2011 Buick Lesabre

Posted on: | In Buick

For car buyers with traditional tastes, 2011 Buick Lesabre is cause for celebration. LeSabre offers a big, roomy interior, a comfortable ride, a big trunk, and it’s packed with safety features. In short, the LeSabre brings all the traditional Buick virtues into a new era of fuel-conscious practicality. 2011 Buick Lesabre comes with front and side air bags, air conditioning, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes (ABS), cruise control, power door locks, power windows, power mirrors, remote keyless entry, AM/FM/cassette four-speaker stereo, eight-way power driver’s seat, adjustable steering column, automatic level control, a theft deterrent system, a power trunk release, and 15-inch steel wheels.

Big round analog gauges are easy to read. The speedometer is clearly marked and can be read at a glance. Fuel and temperature gauges are big and easy to read. The dashboard looks fresh and modern, undulating across the width of the car in gentle, organic curves.

The Limited model adds automatic dual-zone air conditioning, a driver information center, OnStar global positioning, an upgraded Concert Sound II stereo with cassette and CD, 10-way power seats with heat and leather upholstery, 16-inch aluminum wheels, and traction control. Traction control comes standard on the Limited, and Stabilitrak is optional. For sharper handling, add the Gran Touring Package , with a rear stabilizer bar and 16-inch aluminum wheels with 225/60R16 tires. The seats boast a relatively new design that the engineers like to call a catcher’s mitt. The seat back is much stiffer than usual; in an accident it holds the occupant in place while the headrest moves forward to lessen whiplash. 2011 Buick Lesabre is a comfortable car, roomy, and easy to operate. The leather seats are comfortable, if plain in appearance. Nice trim materials are used throughout. The electronic climate control is easy to operate. Heated seat controls are clearly marked and located right on the doors where we could find them.

A canopy over the instruments extends from the passenger side to the driver’s door panel. This design gives the interior an open feeling and nicely integrates the door trim into the dashboard. A wide strip of faux wood trim extends along the door panels and across the center of the dash. The pull-out storage tray feels flimsy, however.

The 2011 2011 Buick Lesabre feels smooth on smooth roads. Standard self-leveling rear suspension keeps the ride consistent regardless of the number of passengers aboard. The steering feels light and precise, making this a nice, pleasant car around town. It also handles smooth gravel roads well. It delivers good acceleration performance, even against the LeSabre’s substantial weight. Likewise, the electronically controlled four-speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly between gears. There’s a reason LeSabre is selected by more thoughtful people than any other full-size car*. Adorned with all the amenities you require for safe, comfortable, reliable travel, LeSabre is truly designed and equipped to make your time on the road one of life’s more peaceful endeavors.

2011 Buick Park Avenue

Posted on: | In Buick

Elegant, Refined,  Sophisticated, these are the qualities that best describe The 2011 Buick Park Avenue. After researching The 2011 Buick Park Avenue, one gains appreciation for the reasons behind the level of comfort, performance, style, and luxury combined in a sophisticated package. We hope to offer answers to all of your 2011 Buick Park Avenue questions on this Website, and show you that the car is worth every penny you’ll pay. With a host of new amenities, The 2011 Buick Park Avenue is perhaps the Buick line’s most luxurious full-sized vehicle, and has been the mainstay of the Buick line for nearly 100 years.

Equipped with standard features like the 3800 Series II V6 engine, leather-appointed 10-way power driver and front passenger seats, and dual-zone climate control, the new and improved Park Avenue offers you luxury and all the privileges of choice.

2011 Buick Park Avenue is large and luxurious. It offers a smooth, comfortable, quiet ride. Its engine and transmission are smooth and quiet. Its controls are familiar and easy to operate. Its interior is roomy and comfortable and its trunk is huge. 2011 Buick Park Avenue, the top model, is fast, stable and satisfying to drive. Its supercharged V6 engine delivers quick acceleration performance. While still reading the sheet music written for a large, front-drive American sedan, Ultra is surprisingly agile and responsive. It’s equipped with StabiliTrak, a superb active safety system that can detect the beginning of a skid and help keep the car on its intended course by pulsing individual brakes. The Park is dated, however. Its interior is old-fashioned, and there are a lot of other, newer products out there. The main instruments are covered by a gently arching nacelle that sweeps across the dash. Besides its contemporary appearance, this design allows room for a big speedometer and tachometer that are easy to scan.

2011 Buick Park Avenue offers a good value among large sedans, but the Ultra faces competition in its price class. New exterior features for The 2011 Buick Park Avenue include a new grille, monochromatic Buick shields, 17-inch chrome-plated wheels, and dual chrome-plated exhaust tips. The interior is clean and tasteful. Dual sun visors with extensions shield glare from almost every angle. Seating for six is standard, although the front-middle passenger may find the accommodations a little tight. We prefer the individual front seats ($185), which come with a new center console. The console also includes two auxiliary 12v outlets and a rear seat heater/air conditioner vent. We found the lids on the center console awkward, but it provides a large amount of storage capacity because the shifter is up on the column. An overhead console is also part of the package, including reading lights and a universal transmitter for garage door openers or similar devices. The 2011 2011 Buick Park Avenue also includes 16-inch aluminum wheels, 17″ wheels and tires on Ultra. The Gran Touring Package is standard on the Park Avenue Ultra and is an option on the Park Avenue base.

2011 Buick Century

Posted on: October 10, 2010 | In Buick

2011 Buick Century is a car you can count on, day after day, mile after mile. It’s practical and comfortable, with a smooth ride, good performance, and predictable handling. It even offers a fair amount of luxury for a very practical price. All 2011 Buick Century come with air conditioning with dual zone climate control and an air filtration system. Power windows and locks and a dual foldaway side mirrors have a power remote, all standard.

Buick Century’s standard dual-zone climate control enables the driver and front seat passenger to vary their individual temperature up to five degrees to suit their personal comfort level. This will maximize traction on slippery surfaces such as snow or ice. Century also has an electronically controlled 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive providing smooth acceleration and power on demand while still delivering excellent fuel economy for a luxury sedan.

The left three warning lights indicate problems with oil pressure, battery charge or anti-lock brake circuitry. The three indicators on the right warn that the seatbelts are not fastened, the parking brake is on or the air bags are not initialized to function properly. The Century provides the comfort of a traditional American sedan. The ride quality is soft and its V6 engine is strong but frugal. The interior design is straightforward. Everything is exactly where you think it should be, and everything works exactly how you expect it should work. Its broad bench seats provide plenty stretch-out room, but bucket seats are available.

Standard on all Century models are keyless remote entry, power locks, daytime running lights with Twilight Sentinel automatic light control, anti-lock brakes, traction control, tire-inflation monitor and theft-deterrent.

2011 Buick Century understated exterior styling theme continues inside. The dashboard is traditional American, and on the Spartan side by today’s standards. Instrumentation is limited to a small analog speedometer, a water temperature gauge and a fuel gauge. On the lower left and right of the dash are two circular warning-light complexes, each split three ways in pie-chart fashion. 2011 Buick Century is modest-looking yet generously equipped. As a utilitarian four-door sedan, it was designed to provide long, workmanlike service for those who appreciate the traditional Buick values, that is, a premium vehicle at an affordable price. The Century’s engine is very satisfying, and there is ample interior space to please traditional Buick buyers. Its soft ride should also feel familiar to longtime Buick owners, who are extremely loyal to the brand. But the price of that soft ride is a somewhat old-fashioned personality on the road
