2012 Hyundai Genesis Specification and more

Posted on: July 11, 2011 | In Hyundai

The Genesis has been a car that has packed in the consumers that have loved the car for many reasons since it was first introduced by Hyundai in 2009. People loved the power of the rear wheel drive car that was like none other on the market at the time. But, with 2012 right around the corner, what does Hyundai have in mind for the Genesis? There are going to be a few minor cosmetic changes to the Genesis, that is more than likely not going to hurt anyone's opinion of the car, however, the big change is what they are doing under the hood that is going to make the Genesis better than ever.

The same two engines are going to be offered in the Genesis as there was before with the V6 and the V8 being offered. However, they have improved the existing engines. The new V6 is the 3.8 liter, V6 engine that is going to bring around 333 horsepower to the table. While the new V8 is boasting 4.6 liter that is going to offer better gas mileage than it did in the past. However, the new option that has everyone talking is the V8 engine with the 5.0 liter that is offering 429 horsepower. This option is called the R-spec and it basically top of the line when it comes to the Genesis. Those that want this option though can be sure that they are going to pay the price, at a tune of around $40,500.

For 2012, the exterior is going to see new headlights that are really catching the attention of everyone, especially since the previous versions of the Genesis did not really have anything that stood out in the crowd when looking at the front end. The rear taillights and bumper have also had a bit of work done to them, however, there is nothing there that is really going to attract the attention of those that are looking for differences. The interior of the car is still spaced very nicely and is perhaps one of the largest feeling interiors of any sedan that is on the market, which is a huge plus for Hyundai. Add into the fact that they have went to all levels to make sure that the car feels good on the inside and is going to be the luxurious ride that people have hoped for.

There are not many options for people to choose from with the Genesis and this is because the Genesis really sells itself without having any options. Also, the safety features of the Genesis are something that most people like because there are eight standard air bags, and so forth. However, the 2012 Genesis has not yet received its rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. So is the 2012 Genesis going to blow the consumer away? More than likely those that are big fans of the Genesis are going to love it, however, those that are strictly fans of other luxury cars that are going to cost around the same price are not going to be impressed.

2012 Hyundai Veloster

Posted on: July 7, 2011 | In Hyundai

For 2012, Hyundai is introducing the Veloster, which is a small compact car that is meant to compete with cars such as those that Scion produces and other small compacts that people consider. But, what is it about the Veloster that is going to make people want to try this out? One of the biggest things that Hyundai is boosting with this vehicle is the fact that it is going to allow people to stay connected no matter where they are. They are claiming that this car is one of the most technology advanced that is out there that is going to allow people to text friends hands free, upload videos via a USB port that is installed on the car, and share the location in which they are with friends via the social networking sites if they want. It is clear that Hyundai listened to what people want when they are traveling and the end result is the Veloster.

2012 hyundai Veloster

Bluelink is the technology that is being offered exclusively through the Hyundai Veloster that is going to be responsible for the hands free texting, locking the car by remote, start the car for the person without the keys being inserted and provide some form of safety for those that drive since Bluelink is going to allow the correct emergency officials to be contacted should the car be involved in a collision. However, besides the technology, the performance of the car is impressive as well.

The car comes complete with a 1.6 liter GDI 4 cylinder engine that also comes with the Eco Boost option when the person wants to make the most of the gas that they are using. The car is said to get forty miles per gallon, which is right on the mark for some hybrids that are out there, without the hybrid title to it. Those that look at the car are going to immediately know that they are driving a Veloster because there are no cars on the market that are in any ways similar to the sporty, yet functional looks of the Veloster. The coupe that also has a third door located on the passenger side for ease of access for those that want to sit in the back seat is going to be one of a kind on the road. The interior is going to keep with the sport appeal as it has brushed metal accents and four comfortable sporty seats that people can relax in and have fun while driving on the road.

Safety features wise, the Bluelink is perhaps the best safety feature that it has, which is much similar to the roadside assistance programs that many other automakers are putting into their vehicles. Add into the fact that the Veloster comes with traction control, anti lock brakes, six air bags and stability control to add up to be a unique and safe car. Overall, the Veloster is going to be one of those cars that many people consider thanks to the many technology aspects of the car and the fact that it is getting excellent gas mileage.

2011 EQUUS

Posted on: February 11, 2011 | In Hyundai

The new 2011 Hyundai Equus is one of the cars that many people are keeping their eyes on. The reason is that it is offering style and class like other brands such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Lexus, at the fraction of the price. In fact, when comparing the 2011 Equus to the world's most luxurious cars such as the BMW 7 series, the fuel mileage is exactly the same, the interior space is the same and basically every other aspect is the same. So this has people wondering why they should spend twice as much for something that they can get for cheaper that is going to deliver the same. Which means that the luxury brands better be on the lookout as Hyundai takes them over.

The styling of the car is one that is getting rave reviews from professionals who commend the automaker on making the Equus one of luxury and style. The interior is all real leather with the dashboard having touches of real wood. Something that Hyundai has never offered to consumers before. Most professionals agree that the styling is taking Hyundai to a whole other level of car manufacturing.

The 2011 Equus pictures is complete when it comes to the performance of the car. It has a V8 engine, six speed automatic and is rear wheel drive. The power of the car is amazing to say the least. It can go from zero to sixty in around 4.6 seconds which for those worried about power, there is no need to worry with the Equus. In addition, the Equus features a sport button which allows for tighter steering and handling so that people can get the feel that they are in a real race car. However, for those that do not utilize the option they will still find that the steering of the car is notable and the car handles curves well thanks to its wide wheel base.

Hyundai Equus

In terms of quality, for the price of the Equus, you can not beat the quality that the car has. The interior is spacious with leather seats, birch wood paneling, heated seats as an option, even a massaging passenger seat as an option are all the trademarks of high quality craftsmanship. Plus, those that are riding the back are going to find themselves just as comfortable with the interior as those that are driving will.

Thus far, the 2011 Equus has not had its safety ratings released. However, the probably of it scoring in the good range are high. The standard safety equipment included on the car are front and rear parking sensors, rear view camera, cruise control that is adaptive, and a lane departing warning system which vibrates the steering wheel when the person starts to turn into another lane, helpful to keep people from falling asleep at the wheel. In addition, air bags and anti-lock brakes.

Overall, people in the auto world are giving the car an eight out of ten on the grading scale. Which is a huge win for Hyundai to be able to compete in the luxury market and get noticed. With all the options that are available on the Equus including the Ultimate trim that allows the free iPad that plugs into the car in order for people to enjoy it, is one reason why many professionals are thinking the public is going to love the car. The only problem that people seem to have with the car is that the car is not as green as past cars that Hyundai has offered. Though the gas mileage is sixteen miler per gallon in the city and twenty-four miles per gallon is pretty average, people are still holding the car up to the average that Hyundai produces. However, this is unlike any car that Hyundai has ever produced, thus it is truly breaking their rules.

Hyundai Hits Sales Goal for US

Posted on: December 13, 2010 | In Hyundai

Hyundai is a brand that has never really received that much attention. They seemed to also fall short of the Toyota and Honda brand. However, that is no longer. Hyundai has announced that they have reached their goal that they set for the United States in July of 2005. The goal was to sell around 500,000 cars annually in the United States, in order to become a bigger competitor against other foreign car companies. This goal was reached.

After reaching the 500,000 goal, they expect that before the end of the year is out that they will actually top this goal and end up sending around 530,000 cars to the United States to be sold. This is great news for a company that has been striving to make themselves better known.

So why the sudden interest in the Hyundai vehicles? There are many factors that could have helped contribute to the company's sudden growth. For starters, their main competitor Toyota, is still reeling from the recalls that the company had to go through and are still going through trials because of these recalls. Which means that more people are not buying Toyota, which if they want a foreign made car, they are then left with Honda or Hyundai. Honda has also had its fair share of recalls, however, nothing compared to Toyota. Which leaves Hyundai as the go to automaker for a car.

It should also be noted that Hyundai has really stepped up their game and are now producing cars that are on the same level as their competitors both look wise and safety wise. This has helped to increase their fan base considerably as they are receiving much higher safety ratings in recent years. What does the future have in store for Hyundai? Well, if they continue with the quality that they are doing now, the sales figures should continue to rise throughout the coming years.

It’s EPA fuel economy rating of 29 city/33 highway miles per gallon. It comes standard with a 5 speed manual transmission and a 1.6L I4, 16-Valve, DOHC, MPFI engine with a horsepower rating of 103@5800 and a torque rating of 106@3000.

  • Gets 33 MPG on the highway.

A 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard, and a 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is optional. The 2011 2011 Hyundai Accent is a carryover from 2003. Torque and horsepower contribute to acceleration and top speed. Engine size also contributes to overall power. For example, a 4.7-liter V-8 with 250 horsepower will generally outperform a 3.2-liter V-6 with 200 horsepower.

The tradeoff is fuel economy, with smaller and less powerful engines usually being more fuel-efficient. Wheels are upgraded from 13-inch steel to 14-inch aluminum, and tires from 175/70R13 to 185/60HR14. It is available only as a hatchback.

They come standard with a five-speed manual gearbox. 2011 Hyundai Elantra

Posted on: | In Hyundai

Hyundai has a hit on its hands with the new 2011 Elantra. The car is a step above what the past models have been and the designing of the car is beyond what anyone thought that the car maker would ever put out. It is being termed the little version of the Sonata, which was a huge hit for the company. In addition, its going to give the Honda Civic a run for its money, one in which Honda may not win this time. The new design of the Elantra gives it a feel of class and the looks are something that everyone is talking about since it has taken on a new sleek look.

The 2011 Elantra includes all the extras that make the car at complete luxury, such as heated seats. While also included the standard safety features that is making the car a winner when it comes to finding one of the safest vehicles that a person can. The newly redesigned interior is going to be much more roomier than the past Elantras and this is because the car itself is slightly larger than the past models. In addition, the wheel base is wider of the car, which is going to improve the handling of the car. Despite all the enlargements of the car, the fuel mileage is still quite impressive. The car is being given a forty miles per gallon fuel mileage on the highway, while boasting a twenty-nine miles per gallon in the city by the manufacturer. Which is going to be many people's reason for buying it since the amount of fuel mileage that it is getting is not something that is associated with its size.

The price of the new 2011 Hyundai Elantra is going to be around $14,900 for the base model, going upwards to $21,000 for the models that include all the bells and whistles. The car definitely does not look like it is a $15,000 car, which is why so many professionals are loving the car and believe that the consumer market will also love the car just as much, if not more. In addition, each offers the same engine, which is a four speed 1.5 liter engine, with an automatic transmission.

The ride quality of the Elantra is one that people will be impressed by. The seats are comfortable and in a position that allows for the person to avoid that feeling of stiffness and soreness after being on the road for long amounts of time. Furthermore, the passengers won't be complaining either. The sound from the outside hardly penetrates the cabin which means that the quietness that people want when driving is also a quality of the 2011 Elantra. However, on the downside, the car is made for comfort, not speed. Those that want a car that is of high performance are not going to find what they are looking for with the 2011 Elantra. The car is great for those with families, however, for people looking to have great take off power and so forth, should look elsewhere.

The car is being compared to many offerings by Lexus in the level of luxury that the car brings to the table. However, with the price as it is, the Elantra has the benefits of being a smart buy along with a pleasure for the driver. The only other drawback that professionals have noted is that the brakes are a bit on the touc

hy side, meaning that without meaning to you could come to a complete standstill when you really only wanted to gradually slow down. However, with all the good points, the drawbacks do not seem to be as much of a problem for those that are interested in the car.

2011 Hyundai Santa Fe

Posted on: | In Hyundai

The new 2011 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe comes with the most important new feature, the Borg-Warner’s Interactive Torque Management four-wheel-drive system. Hyundai’s chief product planner looked a little surprised when we reminded him that this is the same inexpensive yet incredibly effective system in the Acura MDX and Honda Pilot, which furnishes terrific all-weather mobility without compromising everyday drivability. Other useful improvements to The 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe include front-seat side impact air bags as standard equipment. The base Santa Fe has a 4-cyl engines and front-wheel drive. The GLS version comes with a 2.7-liter V6. A 3.5 V6 is optional on the GLS and standard on the LX model.

V6 models offer front-drive or all-wheel drive without low-range gearing. The 4-cyl comes with manual or automatic transmission Front side air bags and 4-wheel disc brakes are standard on all models. With the addition of the 3.5 liter engine, The 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe now offers more torque than the V6-equipped Ford Escape or Mazda Tribute. Only the 3.7 liter V6 Jeep Liberty and the 3.5 liter V6 Saturn Vue have more torque and horsepower.

The new V6 provides better acceleration for the 1790 kg (3,946 lbs) 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe, but with a slight penalty in fuel consumption. The 3.5 liter V6 is rated at 14 liters per 100 kilometers (20.2 miles per gallon) in the city and 10.3 l/100 km (27.4 mpg) in highway driving. Fuel consumption for the 2.7 liter engine is 12.9 l/100 km (21.9 mpg) city and 9.2 l/100 km (30.7 mpg) highway. Along with the new engine comes a new five-speed automatic transmission with manual ‘shiftronic’ feature. The 2.7 liter it has a four-speed automatic shiftronic.

It’s expected to open near Montgomery, Alabama in time to start building a redesigned 2011 Santa Fe. No word yet on what the new one will be like, but we’d be surprised if it isn’t a little larger and more powerful than the current offering.

A midsize SUV is also apparently still on Hyundai’s to-do list. Contrary to earlier reports, this will not be an Americanized version of the domestic-market Terracan, a Ford Explorer-size 4-dr with Toyota Land Cruiser looks, separate frame, and available dual-range 4WD. Terracan was evidently deemed too crude for U.S. tastes. Hyundai is more likely to opt for a car-based design, perhaps derived from a new-generation XG sedan. Timing is unknown right now, but stay tuned. New 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe includes chrome door handles, climate control, front side air bags, traction control, retractable cargo cover and power driver’s seat. Leather seat trim, heated front seats, illuminated vanity mirrors, leather wrapped steering wheel and shifter knob, luggage tray, power sunroof, antilock brakes and fog lamps are standard equipment on all GLS models. Hyundai now offers five Santa Fe models to choose from – the 4-cylinder, manual transmission GL with front-wheel drive the 2.7 liter V6 front-wheel drive GL or all-wheel drive, the AWD 2.7 liter V6 GLS and the new 3.5 liter V6 GLS.
