Reasons enough to take a look at the entire lineup, from the sporty to the sophisticated. Start with the Corolla S. Color-keyed underbody spoilers and side rocker panels. A new silhouette sport speedometer. And more room for friends. But don't overlook the refined LE and the smart CE. While each has a distinctly different personality than the S, they're never at a loss for fun. The 2008 2009 2009 Toyota Corolla is out to have a good time. With a 1.8-liter DOHC 16-valve VVT-i 4-cylinder engine, it even gets a kick out of everyday driving. Its independent front suspension finds fun at every turn. Which also explains the appeal of power-assisted steering and available cruise control. |

So go ahead -- open that available sunroof and go where the mood takes you. After all, Corolla's guided by fun, not rails. The interior is where the Corolla really shines. Inside, it doesn't feel like a small car, and it doesn't feel cheap, like many compacts feel. Big and/or tall people will find the accommodations somewhat cramped, but shorter people may find the Corolla fits them perfectly. There's plenty of front legroom and headroom and there's a decent amount of room in the back for two average-size adults. For many owners, this car quickly fades into the background, allowing them to focus on other aspects of their lives. It's hard to find faults with this car. |

Toyota Corolla is among the best of the compact sedans, smooth, convenient,
and easy to drive. All Corollas come with a 1.8-liter four-cylinder 16-valve
engine and a choice of a manual or automatic transmission Three trim levels
are available: the base CE, the S, and the luxurious LE. Corolla comes
standard with 15-inch steel wheels, but looks like it could do with larger
wheels and tires that would fill out the wheel wells more effectively.
Aluminum 15-inch wheels are an option for LE models.
