Ford Introducing C-Max to North America

In 2012, Ford has decided to introduce a smaller minivan than most car makers are offering the market in order to attract a different demographic, in particular those young families. The smaller minivan is referred to the C-Max by Ford and will seat seven. The minivan is set to be shown at the North American Auto Show in Detroit this January.

The new minivan will be based off of the same format as the Focus sedan. Which means that it will definitely be much smaller than normal other minivans on the market. This may attract many people who want the room of a minivan, but do not want the size that most minivans are, and will be an excellent alternative.

The introduction of the C-Max to the American consumer market is an effort on Ford's behalf to have the same vehicles incorporated into every market all over the globe. The C-Max has already been introduced to the European market and was received with open arms.

Ford is also hoping to increase the desire of the minivan with the C-Max that will draw upon past generations of minivans in terms of looks and functions. Will this work? Hard to say. Most families that utilize minivans need the space. However, those younger families that are just starting out need more room than a sedan can offer, but yet, do not want to purchase a full size minivan just yet in their lives. Therefore, the C-Max will be an amazing option for these people. So all in all, the C-Max will definitely receive some publicity, just because it is the first of its kind in the market, plus it will appeal to different families and demographics. So, the C-Max should become one of the more popular family vehicles that are on the market.
