Standard in all 2011 Chevy Trailblazer models is the Vortec 4200 six-cylinder engine that generates 275 hp at 6000 rpm and 275 lb ft of torque at 3600 rpm. In fact, 90 percent of the torque is available from 1600 rpm to V00 rpm which means power on demand. Plus, the 4200 six-cylinder engine is naturally balanced due to its inline configuration – helping to reduce engine shake and idle roll. The rigid inline structure of the engine contributes to low noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) levels. The available Vortec 5300 V8 SFI engine in 2011 Chevy Trailblazer EXT models generates 290 horsepower and 325 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine features a deep-skirt aluminum block for added rigidity without the added weight of conventional iron, and coil-on-plug ignition for optimum combustion. All 2011 Chevy Trailblazer models feature an electronically controlled four-speed automatic overdrive transmission. It is well known for its smooth and durable operation, performance across the full torque curve, and precise shifting.
