Chrysler Recalls Dodge Ram Trucks

Amid the many recalls that are being issued, from seems every automaker, Chrysler has announced that they are recalling 76,000 Dodge Ram Trucks. Chrysler has stated that there seems to be a problem with the steering. And that if this problem persists, it could lead to the truck being slow in braking. Once the driver applies the brake, the truck may take a long time to come to a stop.

The recall is only affecting a few models of the 2010 and 2011 year, however, not all of these years models are included in the recall.

The trucks that are affected seems to be building up an intense amount of pressure due to a cap that is placed of the steering power reservoir. This cap is not allowing any ventilation, which is causing the levels of pressure to mount up and the brakes to fail. Those who have this problem may also notice that their brake lights are remaining on no matter if pressure is being applied to the pedal of not. Because of this, the risk of having a crash are significantly increased.

Chrysler is beginning to inform owners of the recall, however, those who are questioning whether their truck is included are urged to call customer service at Chrysler to find out for sure. Chrysler said that they will be fixing the recall which will require a new cap to be placed on the steering, which they will do for the owner free of charge.

With all the recalls that have been issued lately, this has led many to wonder if perhaps the regulations that are in place for these automakers are too lenient. This has also lead many to wonder if Chrysler will be able to bounce back as they have planned in the tough economy. However, since the company has notified the public before incidents have occurred, it seems as though their reputation will stay intact.
