New Labels for Cars on the Lot

Something new that consumers are going to want to be looking for when they are shopping for their new car is the new labeling that is going to be making its way onto parking lots of dealerships. The current labeling gives some basic information about the fuel costs of the vehicle in question and so forth. But the new labeling is meant to give even more information so that the person can make an even more informed decision as to what to buy. So what information is going to be included?

The usual gas mileage that the vehicle gets on the highway and in the city is going to be included. However, the total cost of fueling the vehicle per year is also included, which can give people an even better idea of what to expect if they were to buy this vehicle for their family. They are also going to get the cost for five years of fueling the vehicle. Is this new information going to be something that consumers are going to use when they are considering their new vehicle?

Most people think that this information will be great to have on hand, especially if you are buying based on the gas mileage that is being promised. Overall, the EPA and other organizations are hoping that by informing consumers of what they are buying that they are going to find that they are giving more options to the consumers and that they are going to choose those cars that are lower on fuel usage in order to lower the cost of fuel for the rest of the world, and to lessen our demand on these sources. Of course, this is just preliminary right now, as the new labels have not been tested by any consumers just yet. However, judging from the sample that is available right now for people to view, it seems that the labels are going to be easy to read and understand.
