VW Banner 2010 Year

Volkswagen and Ford have now found out just who is the best when it comes to earnings that they received last year in China. And the winner is Volkswagen. The German automaker has posted an earning of $9.42 billion, while Ford only posted a profit in 2010 from China of around $6.56 billion. GM posted around $4.7 billion, while Toyota is still projecting that they will have earned around $6 billion for their year in China, which ends at the end of March.

For 2011, Volkswagen has already stated that they will increase these earnings, and are forecasting a profit of around an increase that they saw last year, which was around twenty one percent. The company is also expecting rises in other countries that they are delivering their vehicles too, as more and more people are seeing the advantages of owning a VW.

VW has already said that they plan to increase many of their investments after having a banner profit year. This includes investing in the plants and the areas in which these are made, they plan to spend around 51.6 billion euros. However, this does not include what they will spend in China. With their partners they plan to spend around 10.6 billion euros in China alone.

In other news, VW is facing a legal investigation with Porsche. Porsche is being accused of misleading those with VW in that they were not going to commit to VW, however, then going on later to buy most of the common shares of the company, which caused many people to share their shares quickly in order to make sure that they did not experience any loss. Porsche is denying that they did this or did it on purpose.

One thing is for certain VW has had a banner year, and they only hope to improve this. With all the money that they will be investing and the number of cars that they will be producing increasing, more than likely the car maker will also see a great 2011.
