Audi Releases New Diesel Cars

Audi, a part of the Volkswagen group, has developed a diesel version of its A4 line which consumes just 4.4 liters per 100 kilometers. The fuel consumption of the Avant (wagon) version is slightly higher due to greater chassis weight at 4.6 liters per 100 kilometers.

 

The CO2 emission is 119 grams per kilometer for saloon cars, and 120 grams per kilometer for the Avant. The Audi A4 diesel is equipped with a 136 hp 2.0 TDI engine which accelerates from zero to sixty mph in 9.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 215 kilometers per hour, for the sedan version.

The saloon version emits 115 grams of CO2 per kilometer, while the Avant version emits 120 grams per kilometers. With these values, both models can be exempt from registration tax in some European countries.

Audi has also extended its Q7 SUV line with a version that is powered with 3.0 TDI 204 hp diesel engine. It consumes 7.2 liters per 100 km, while the CO2 emission is 189 grams per kilometer.

The new Q7 has a top speed of 205 km/h with the air suspension, and 202 km/h for the conventional suspension version. It is also capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.1 seconds. The price is approximately EUR 60,000.
