Beetle Gets Redesigned

After a successful run, Volkswagon has decided to revamp the Beetle, to attract more buyers and to give what they believed to be a much needed makeover. The new Beetles will first be available to the United States consumer market, as it is the most powerful purchasing market when it comes to the Beetle.

The new Beetle still keeps with the rounded headlights that are the most known headlights for Volkswagon. However, the most noticeable difference will be the rear end of the car that will now appear stronger, tougher and give a more rugged feeling to the car. Despite this major change, the car is still automatically known to be a VW Beetle, which is something that car enthusiasts will love about the car.

The windows have also gotten a little upgrade, though it may not be noticeable for those that are not Beetle lovers. The windows have been lined to give it a more distinct look, and overall helps the look of the car to be something different.

As far as engines go, the Beetle will start out with the 2.0 liter four cylinder engine that has a capacity to produce 115 horsepower. This is more than likely going to be the first model that the United States will receive. However, after this, consumers still have options. The 2.5 liter four cylinder engine will be available for those that would like a little more power, while there is rumors that there will be a 1.4 liter four cylinder engine for consumers to choose from as well that is estimated to get upwards of 170 horsepower. The options for the Beetle are at this time endless.

There has also been talk of including a Beetle that has all wheel drive or one that is considered a Hybrid to reach a vast majority of consumers taste. And as always, once the hatchback Beetle has been in the market for a while, the Convertible will once again make itself seen.
