BMW Plans To Hire

In keeping with the auto industry adding more workers and slowly working to improve the economy, BMW has announced that over the next year that they plan to add 1,300 workers. They have also said that they want to add another 1,300 workers in the following year, for a grand total of 2,600 workers over the next two years. This is great news to those that are unemployed, however, BMW has said that they are looking for workers that have some knowledge in the electric car and hybrid area, simply because they are trying to compete with other manufacturers that are offering vehicles that have lower emissions.

This means that those with engineering degrees and so on are in luck, however, the common person is still not going to be able to land a job with the company.

In 2009, the company released many workers as they simply could not afford how many workers that they had. This was the time in which most automakers were laying people off, simply because they could no longer afford to pay the wages without going into debt. Unfortunately, for many automakers they still found themselves in trouble and having to be bailed out by the government. Luckily, BMW was able to stay afloat even in a time of crisis.

The good news about those people that BMW is going to hire is that they are still looking for people that have some knowledge of sales, simply because they have the goal of increasing their sales by around 10%. They are also looking for those that are involved with research and development, which is still good news for many as they are out of work.

This is the second automaker to announce that they plan to hire a huge number of people. This means that people are starting to believe that perhaps the auto market is turning around and it will be the one thing that helps stimulate the economy back to what it used to be.
