Time of the Small Car

With all the reports that the auto industry released pointing to the fact that the consumers in the United States were buying more and more new vehicles, we all realize that they are. However, what the reports are not stating is that the types of vehicles that more citizens are buying is much different from the buying trends from years ago. The main idea right now is to buy smaller in order to make up for the high price of gas that people re paying at the pump. It would seem that those larger trucks and SUV's are going to be sitting on the lot for months to come since there does not seem to be an end in sight to the high gas prices that we are dealing with.

So just what kind of small vehicles are the consumer market purchasing? The Chevrolet Cruze seems to be making a huge impact on the consumer market. While, the Ford Focus is also a hit with consumers. Other cars that are still considered to be worthy of the person's time is the Hyundai Elantra, Nissan Sentra, Ford Fiesta, Kia Optima, and so forth. The key characteristics between all of these concepts is the smallness of them and the fact that these cars are getting around thirty miles per gallon or more.

So what does the future hold for sales this month? Given the parts shortage that have been going on, the market may slow down a bit due to this. However, there are still a huge number of people that are wanting to buy these small cars to drive daily. When asked, most people are thinking about the purchase of a new vehicle, simply because what they are paying at the pump is making it hard to make ends meet. Only time will tell, but it looks like the time of the small car is here and is going to be sticking around for a while.
