Mazda 3 Hatchback

Mazda is known for creating cars that have an element of fun to them, as well as being top performing vehicles. This rule holds true to the Mazda 3 Hatchback. They featured the option of two different engines, a 2.0 liter and a 2.3 liter, depending upon the trim that the consumer purchased. Transmission wise, people could choose from a five speed manual or a four speed automatic.

 

For the following year in 2006, Mazda may a few minor tweaks to the Mazda 3 Hatchback, however, there were not noticeable differences. The automatic transmission was switched to a five speed. As well as they eliminated the color of canary yellow as an option. They also increased the horsepower of the smaller engines to include an extra 150 horses.

 

In 2007, a few minor changes were made to the interior and the exterior and were widely accepted by the public. They removed a few trims from the outside, making it appear as a more solid vehicle, while adding a few features to the interior in order to compete with higher class vehicles. They also changed the taillights on many versions to include high output LED lights for increased safety when driving in the dark.

The year 2008 saw very little changes to the car, as the only major addition was the same colored handles as the body. The 2009 year models were the same as the 2008 models, however they are harder to find as production on the 2009 models only lasted for a few months.

 

2010 began the second generation of the Mazda 3 models. This was the time in which the car saw the most drastic changes, all of which have led to the current Mazda 3 Hatchback model.

 

The new 2011 Mazda 3 Hatchback is a little longer than those hatchbacks that came before it, giving it more appeal to those who have families. If the seats in the rear are to be faced downwards, there is around 44 cubic feet of room, which is impressive giving that this is typically considered a small car. The 2011 version will be available in three different trim levels, including Sport, Grand Touring and Touring. The Grand Touring is the most luxurious of the trims, offering heated leather seats, rain sensing wipers, climate control that is automatic, and a trip computer, on top of the already numerous features that the other more basic trims offer.

 

The Mazda 3 Hatchback has been termed by professionals as being a bundle of fun to drive and handles superior when compared to other sporty hatchbacks on the market. And many believe that Mazda will see amazing turn out for those wishing to purchase the new hatchback. The 2011 version has already won many awards, including best resale value of any small sedan or wagon on the market, which is a huge selling point to buyers. In addition, many have given it awards for its ease of handling and enjoyment in driving that they get from driving the new version. It is also given recognition for being one of the best cars on the market for the price. The basic version of the hatchback will cost around $20,000, and increasing slightly for the more luxurious trims that are offered.
