Chrysler Rides the Advertising Wave

Everyone who watched the Super Bowl were more than likely impressed with the commercial that aired for Chrysler. The commercial featured their 200 series while also featuring rapper Eminem speaking for his hometown and their ability to build quality cars because as he said, 'It's what we do'. Now Chrysler dealerships are trying to do their best to ride the wave of popularity and turn this popularity into sales. Which, who could blame them?

The dealerships are sending out emails, printing t-shirts, and purchasing more broadcasting time in order to use the commercial to their advantage. Many dealers are reporting that because of the commercial they are already selling more 200's than what they had previously planned on selling for that week.

The tag line 'Imported from Detroit' was used in the commercials, and this seems to be the line that dealerships are going to use in order to bring in new customers. For example, dealerships in Texas are talking of how they are going to utilize the tag line in order to let people know that they are offering American made cars, which is something many people of the working class are looking for. Many dealers are giving credit to the tag line as being the one thing that caught people's attention.

The 200 Series is replacing the Sebring and dealerships are talking nonstop of how the commercial has affected the sales. People are now labeling the 200 car as a cool car that Eminem would drive, and want it because of this. In fact, most dealerships are making sure that they have plenty of 200's in stock once the buying season hits. One thing is for certain, Chrysler hit a home run and we have not seen the last of the automaker.
