Ford Works on Technology in Vehicles

Ford has said that they are back on track when it comes to the quality and performance of their vehicles when compared to the others that are available in the North American market. Just what has Ford been working on that has given this sudden boost of confidence? They have been working out the problems that have been occurring with the MyFordTouch and the Sync technology, which has given many people headaches over the past few months of owning the Ford vehicles that had this technology. They have also been working on certain vehicles that they offer that were not rated well with the consumer market. 

 

For example, the Ford Explorer touch screen was something that people ranked as hard to use and basically one of the worst things that people had come up with in a very long time. The company has been looking at these things as a way to make sure that they are offering vehicles that the consumer market are going to want and when they get them they are not going to find any problems with. However, the company has said that this year the performance of these technology systems are going to be mixed since they are still having some glitches to work out. 

 

One of the solutions proposed by Ford was to train drivers that purchased these vehicles on how to use the systems that are located in their vehicle. They point out that the dealerships should be showing people how to use these so that there are fewer problems reported simply because the person does not know how to use the system. This may mean adding an extra forty minutes onto each sale as the car sales person will need to take this time to train the driver on what to expect. It is a good idea, and one that most drivers are going to like since it will mean less confusion on their part.
