Future Plans for Toyota

With all the recalls and tough time that Toyota has had, they are making bright plans for the future. The company is hoping by 2015 that they will produce enough vehicles in order to increase their profit in the overseas emerging markets. They are hoping to have around $12 billion in profit by 2015. In order to reach this goal, they are going to have to sell around 9 million vehicles a year. Which has many people thinking that this is an unreachable goal. However, the company does plan to introduce around ten more models of hybrids in order to appeal to the tastes of the consumers.

In addition, Toyota is slimming down the number of board members that they have in an effort to make decisions go through less people and overall to have more control over what is going on. However, even with all these cuts, many wonder if the realm of Toyota has come to an end? In most markets, Toyota fell from the number one place that it has held for years due to the recalls on the automaker that is now nearing around 8 million vehicles.

However, with their devotion to getting in on the emerging markets, they could be opening up a whole new playing field. Though, it has left many people wondering what they will do with the markets that they are already players in, such as the United States. They are still going to be releasing new vehicles and improving their standards, but as far as making profit, they are looking towards the emerging markets to bring this in. Whether or not this is going to work for the company, no one really knows. However, it is a better plan than just sitting around and waiting for the mess of recalls to fix itself, and by doing so they are making a point to the public that they can bounce back and improve the quality of their vehicles.
