Toyota to Launch Fall Campaign for Camry

This fall, Toyota is planning to put all that they have on the line and launch the new Camry sedan that they are offering. They are planning a huge media event in which they are going to claim that the Camry is 'safe, smart and worry free'. This comes after having many recalls placed on their Toyota brand cars and many problems with cars, such as the Camry in failing to stop. Since then, their reputation has suffered quite a bit and they have experienced a decrease in sales for these problems. They are hoping that with the new ad campaign that they are going to help the sales in the United States bounce back once and for all.

Toyota corporate leaders had a meeting in Las Vegas with around 1200 dealers from the area and they laid out what the media event would be like for the Camry. They pointed out that there would be around forty new commercials that would air on television and the campaign is going to be one of the most massive that they have ever done. It is rumored that this campaign is going to begin in October from those that were present in the meeting.

Toyota said that they want to increase the number of vehicles that they are selling in the United States to two million a year by 2013, which is a short amount of time to accomplish this feat. They are also stating that they plan to rely on the release of twenty new or redesigned vehicles during this time to get them to the sales that they want to have. The question that most people are wondering is if the campaign is really going to help the Camry to increase its sales? This is something that cannot be predicted entirely. However, taking into consideration that Toyota has implemented more safety controls to prevent problems and that they are trying to rebuild their reputation, it looks like their chances to succeed are fairly good.
