New Malibu to Span the Globe

Chevrolet is still seeking to be considered a global brand, and they are one step closer with the new Malibu. They have designed the Malibu so that it is going to appeal to those all over the world, and in fact they plan to sell the same model in over one hundred countries. This is not only going to help the brand name, but it is also going to be the way in which the automaker can cut costs on the building of models that are slightly different in every country. This is going to be the first of Chevrolet's mid size sedans to be sold globally.

There has been many styling changes for the new Malibu, that is going to be given the 2013 model year. However, the most important styling change that people are noticing and something that Chevrolet is stating is going to become the norm is the use of two brake lights on each side that are separate. This is going to be one way in which the automaker strives to improve efficiency and safety.

Not much has been released in specifics about the vehicle. However, it is known that the car will only be available in a four cylinder engine in an effort to appease the greater percentage of people who are looking for fuel efficient vehicles. While also offering a suspension system that is similar to what they offer in Europe on their cars. This is the way in which Chevrolet is making sure that the Malibu is going to please all those in the world. Each characteristic that the car has is given to it in order to please one area of the world.

The car is set to debut at the Shanghai Auto Show on April 19, with a web cast on the company's facebook page for those in the United States at the same time which will fall on April 18th. Until then, the world is left wondering just what changes the Malibu has seen.
