New Concept Car Revealed at 2010 SEMA Show: Camaro FireBreather

The 2010 SEMA Show was where many people got the first glance at some of the awesome concepts that people have come up with. Probably one of the most noteworthy concepts that topped everyone’s list was the Camaro FireBreather. This is a concept car that will be used in the upcoming supernatural movie called ‘Jinn’, in which teenagers everywhere, as well as adults, are going to fall in love.

So what makes the Camaro FireBreather any different from just a regular Camaro? Well, this model of Camaro is based off of the Pontiac Firebird. Since the Firebird stopped being produced, many manufacturers have been trying to come up with some way in which they can get their cars to have that Firebird feel, in which the FireBreather has succeeded.

The concept car was designed by the company Classic Design Concepts that is based in Michigan, and at first the car was only going to be used for the movie. However, now, Chevrolet has announced that it plans to produce only 50 of the cars and sell to the public. The asking price for the FireBreather will be $85,000.

Looks wise, the FireBreather will definitely remind consumers of the Firebird Trans Am’s of earlier years. For example, the Firebird influence can definitely be seen in the front portion of the car, with the grill definitely being similar to the those models in the late 1970s. The interior, looks to be straight out of a movie, which makes sense since the car was designed for one and is very high tech looking. The dashboard is illuminated by blue lights, and of course keeping with the FireBreather concept, red lights as well.

Engine wise, the Camaro FireBreather will come with a 6.2 liter, V-8 engine that is supercharged, giving it amazing power. The car will also come with JBA exhaust, a performance handling package, and Pirelli tires.

After many others have failed in recreating the Firebird look, it seems that Chevrolet has finally gotten it right.
