Toyota Trying to Recreate Brand Image

The Chicago Auto Show is coming up soon and Toyota is taking this time to try and win back the hearts of the American people. With all the recent recalls, lawsuits and court dates that Toyota has been a part of, there is no surprise that their reputation has suffered to the extent that American people are no longer thrilled with the image of the brand. 

 

To correct this, Toyota is planning to have a stunning display at the Chicago Auto Show. They are hoping that by showcasing what various cars that they have to offer that consumers will once again turn to the brand. According to Toyota, they will have a 45,000 square foot area in which they will be showcasing all of their latest projects, including hybrids and so froth. In total, they are scheduled to display 51 vehicles, more than most other brands ever display at a show. 

 

Car showThey will also be boasting about the brand's safety in a special section on safety in the display, something that has in the past ruined the brand with all the recalls and accidents resulting from these recalls. They will also allow those in attendance to test drive these vehicles in an area that simulates off road driving. 

 

The question that is on everyone's mind, is this going to be enough to get the brand giant back into the running for the super car brand of America? Chances are that it is going to be a step in the right direction, however, Toyota is going to have a long road ahead of them that is going to be filled with making amends. The American people are not likely to forget everything that happened in the past two years with Toyota overnight, thus Toyota is going to have to strive to prove themselves basically from scratch. This display at the auto show is a great first attempt at accomplishing this.
