Is Leaf Out of Commission?

The Nissan Leaf is one of the all electric cars that are out there. When it was first released there was so much hype surrounding the car that wherever people looked they found that they were seeing or hearing about the Leaf. But, nowadays it seems that the Leaf has disappeared off the radar. Does this mean that the public is no longer interested in the Leaf? Has the day come that people are no longer impressed with the Leaf and its advanced technology? There would be some people that would agree that the Leaf is now just something that a selected few people are interested in driving. However, that is simply not the truth.

The reason for what seems to be disinterest in the car that was once plastered everywhere is the fact that there are not many Leaf's that are on the market. In fact, Nissan only has around a fourteen day supply of these vehicles that are ready to ship out and to be sold. They are steadily increasing the production of the car. However, it seems that they simply cannot keep up. Indeed, the Leaf is not gone from the public eye, but is just trying to catch up to the public demand that is in place.

In fact, Nissan is releasing some surprising sales figures for this year, even though they have had the minor set back that was caused by the earthquake that hit Japan in March. They are expecting around 10,000 units to be sold, which is not bad for a car that is new to the market and introducing a new technology to the market. The idea that the Leaf is not going to make it in this environment is not exactly something that people should be saying, as the Leaf is proving otherwise, with all the sales and the hype that people are generating for the Leaf.
