Nissan Leaf World’s Best Hybrid Car

When people think of hybrid cars, more than likely they automatically think of the Nissan Leaf. The reason for this is that the publicity for this car has been off of the charts. Mainly because it is the first car that is completely powered by batteries, meaning that the person will no longer have to pay the high price at the pump. Those that are really wanting to eliminate their carbon footprint on the world are going to find that the Nissan Leaf is the only option to choose since it is the first true electric car that is available to the world. The only thing is that the Leaf is being released on limited locations, meaning that the busy and major cities in the United States are getting the Leaf first, then followed by the other areas once the Leaf gets going good and strong. So what can the person expect to find with the Leaf?

The Leaf uses a lithium-ion battery pack in order to get its charge, which is the first of its kind, even other hybrid cars are not using the lithium ion batteries too much. This is the advanced batteries that are used in cars since they are offering better acceleration and hold a charge for much longer, which is important for those that are driving a Leaf, who do not want to be stranded on the side of the road. Recharging time for the person that does this at home is going to be around four to eight hours. While those that are able to recharge at a charging station are going to find that it takes around thirty minutes, thanks to higher powered outlets. So just how far can you go on a full charge? It has been estimated to be around one hundred miles, which is not bad, to say the least. And this is probably the biggest drawback of the car, since it is going to require that the person charge it up, instead of relying on a gas backup engine to get where they are going. So who is going to find that they are getting the most use out of the Volt? Those that live close to work and those that are not going to have to worry about being stranded because they live so far away. 

 

 

The car puts out around 107 horsepower. However, those that have driven the car, state that the person should not be expected to feel like they have this much horsepower since electric cars drive much differently than a gasoline engine that utilizes horsepower much better. When driving, the person is going to love that they are not going to hear anything when they are running the car, thanks to the quiet running of electric motors. 

 

So what can people expect on the interior of the car? They are going to find that four adults can sit comfortably in the car with no complaints, however, long trips are going to be out of the question since most people will feel a bit cramped. Is this a good buy? For those that are ready for the step to purchase an electric car, then this is the only option to have.
